"Very talented." TOMMY HILFIGER
Teddy M is a British contemporary artist. His work is unashamedly direct with a fearless use of colour and bold, naive symbolism expressing female forms, hearts, skulls and other iconography often with a hedonistic, humorous or unambiguous narrative.
The artist's work has attracted many globally recognised art collectors including FIAT heir Lapo Elkann, fashion icon Tommy Hilfiger, Ferrari's head of design Flavio Manzoni, financier Hussam Otaibi and British GQ editor Dylan Jones OBE. Luxury brands have also sought Teddy M for commercial commissions including Rolls-Royce Motor Cars London, TAG Heuer and an official Ferrari dealership. In 2018, one of the world's most recognised luxury brands acquired an original artwork for their private collection.
In 2016, GQ magazine described Teddy M as "The Artist to Watch," months later he became the first contemporary artist to paint with members of the British Royal family, notably HRH Princess Eugenie an associate director at art super-gallery Hauser and Wirth.
Ed Sheeran chose Teddy M's 'Green T' Stratocaster for his X world tour and later commissioned another as a collaboration with New York street art pioneer John Matos aka Crash. The 'Crash x Teddy M' Stratocaster has featured extensively on the 2017/2018 Divide world tour.
A number of significant private collections feature works by Teddy M alongside original paintings by Jean-Michel Basquiat, Frank Stella, Andy Warhol, Ed Ruscha, Roy Lichtenstein, Agostino Bonalumi, Paolo Scheggi and many other masters of contemporary and modern art.
To date, Teddy M has appeared in international media including GQ, Tatler, People, News.com Australia and BBC Radio. His work has been shown at Masterpiece London, and at purposely eclectic venues including the Chelsea Harbour Hotel London and the largest Ferrari showroom in Europe. Further afield, the artist's work has appeared in New York City and West Hollywood.
Teddy M currently lives and works in the Cotswolds, UK.
